The VDC it is engineered using a matched gas charged shock to balance and leverage the weight of the door. Opening, lifting, and lowering the door requires no more effort than standard door operation. All kits are compatible with hard top and convertible roof types. No leaking, the doors close and seal like stock. (See video tab for demonstration) The Carexcess.com bolt-on kits, completely reversible installation to stock configuration. All VDC kits contain a wiring harness extension. The Carexcess.com VDC kit modification adds only 16lb per door. The Carexcess.com VDC kit cannot be applied to rear doors of 4 door vehicles. Everything you need for a successful, reliable, cost effective conversion in a minimum amount of time is included in the bolt-on kits. Rest assured all parts listed will arrive in the kit.
All kits listed in the Carexcess.com bolt-on application list are direct bolt-on kits. The Carexcess.com coming soon list is a schedule of vehicles that bolt-on kits are currently in design and test. If applicable custom kits are available for a wide range of domestic and import vehicles. Custom kits differ from specific application design bolt-on kits in that they are not pre-drilled, or tapped. Transferring the existing hinge bolt pattern to the new hinge modifies the custom kit. Using this method customers and custom shops has successfully applied the custom kit to a wide variety of vehicles without complication.
